What We Collect

When you use Taxless, we collect:

  • Account information: Email address and name (for authentication)
  • Financial profile: The information you provide in the onboarding questionnaire (income, filing status, business type, etc.)
  • Usage data: Which strategies you view, milestones you complete, and how you interact with the product
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your credit card numbers

How We Use Your Data

Your financial data is used exclusively to:

  • Match you with relevant tax strategies
  • Generate personalized savings estimates
  • Create your implementation timeline and milestones
  • Improve the accuracy of our strategy matching

What We Never Do

We do not:

  • Sell your personal or financial data to third parties
  • Share your data with advertisers
  • Use your data for purposes unrelated to the Taxless service
  • File tax returns on your behalf or access your IRS account
  • Store credit card information (Stripe handles all payment processing)

AI Processing

Your financial profile is processed by AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate personalized strategy recommendations. This processing occurs in real-time and the AI does not retain your personal information between sessions. We send only the financial data necessary for analysis — never your name, email, or account credentials.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@usetaxless.com. Upon deletion, all your financial profile data, strategy matches, and milestones are permanently removed.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the application.
